DMD Weathering Steel

Lakeview is the first mass timber office development east of Greater Seattle. The 46,000 SQ FT redevelopment includes two levels of office space and two levels of underground parking, matching the civic scale of the neighborhood while minimizing impact on views of surrounding buildings. Two first-floor outdoor spaces take advantage of the expansive west-facing vista of Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains, providing welcoming spaces to gather and enjoy the view. 

The project sets a new precedent on the Eastside for the use of renewable and sustainable construction methods, and features an aesthetically striking juxtaposition of timber alongside Weathering Steel by Dissimilar Metal Design, all while being complimented with view of Lake Washington.

The project engages the streetscape with a contemporary, sustainable building design while providing additional office space to the area, and was completed in 2021.
